Talon Resources has completed its maiden diamond drilling programme at the Eagle Lake Gold Project, drilling 12 holes for 1,169m. Core has gone to Activation Laboratories in Dryden for assay.

Drilling began on 3 September. The plan covered four targets: East Fornieri Bay, which was drilled first, then West Fornieri Bay, Cedar Trench and Moss Knoll. Talon said the targets came from its own work and "MINML's proprietary PRISM machine learning platform", which it used to refine both target selection and hole placement. Critical Discoveries Corp managed the programme, with Rodren Drilling as contractor.

A partnership at the centre of the strategy

In Talon's interim results on 29 September, Non-Executive Chair Marcus Yeoman said "our partnership with MINML is an important part of our approach to exploration." Talon is also assessing other projects in the Wabigoon Subprovince alongside MINML.

Assays will be fed back into the model "alongside existing exploration data and MINML's PRISM machine-learning analysis", closing the loop between prediction and drill.
